National Youth Violence Prevention Center
Established in the wake of the 1999 Columbine High School shootings, the center serves as a clearinghouse for information on bullying and related topics, and as an online forum to facilitate networking among city officials, civic leaders and other key change agents in communities across the nation.

Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative
This U.S. Department of Education-sponsored grant program helps school districts work together with social service, mental health and juvenile justice providers to promote healthy child development, thus reducing violent behavior and substance abuse. The site features a 10-step quiz that can be used to assess a community’s readiness to undertake prevention/intervention initiatives.
